A kitchen surface has to survive heat, acid and impact while carrying the visual weight of the room. Quartzite is the usual answer where a natural vein is wanted; engineered surfaces where absolute consistency matters.

Slab selection matters more than material choice. We reserve consecutive slabs from a single bundle so an island and its splashback can be book-matched rather than approximated.
