A tight inner-city site asked for continuity rather than drama. One warm quartzite runs across the kitchen, hearth and courtyard bench, with the finish changing rather than the stone.
Silver travertine paving continues the tone underfoot and weathers gently — a material that will look better in ten years than it does today.
