RemueraResidence

A restrained brick villa reworked around a single book-matched marble gesture.

The brief was quiet: one material moment, held long enough to become the room. Two consecutive slabs of Calacatta Viola were reserved from a single bundle and book-matched across the island and the splashback so the veining reads as one continuous drawing.

Everything else steps back. Rift-cut oak joinery, plastered walls, no hardware. The stone carries the whole composition, and the mitred 60mm edge gives it the weight of a solid block rather than a surface.
